But I’m screwing my schedule for this phenomenon that my brain cant seem to fathom—the Melai and Jason tandem. I’m also writing this article ahead of all articles for a selfish reason. I heard that my blog is the 12th most read section in PEP. Iba sila sumunod!
I’m a Tuesday columnist for Manila Bulletin. And on the day that I wrote about Melay and Jason, my link was tweeted in Twitter and shouted out in facebook hundreds of times without me even promoting it. Naubos ang Manila Bulletin sa news stands. Iba ang fans nina Melai and Jason! How different are they?
Meet Caramel, a production design graduate of La Salle, St. Benilde. Ingles-ispokening. Hirap mag-Tagalog Pero super Tagalog ‘pag kausap sina Melai and Jason. If you are wondering why she is with the two behind the Parliament Building and Big Ben in London (that’s not Photoshop by the way)—that is because she followed the two to London to watch the show in Lampton park, Hounslow! Kaya niyo yun?
That’s not all she did for her idols. Caramel also organized a fans’ day for all the MelaSon fans. I asked Melai where her fans took her.
Melai: Pumunta po kami sa Madame Tausug
GSpot: Ah, Madame Tussaud’s yun, anak.
But Melai was humble enough not to tell me what her fans gave her on the fans’ day.
Ganda noh? Wii, SLR na camera, chocolates, pabango, T-shirt.
GSpot: Lacoste ito, ah! Ano? Binigay lahat ‘yan sa inyo? SLR Canon cameras at Nintendo Wii.
And dami ko palang makukuha.
Pinakamura ay 100,000 pesos), 21 perfumes (expensive ones, ha—may brand, hindi chipipay), designer dresses, and pocket money in pounds!
Totoong tao talaga.
2. Nakakatawa sina Melai at Jason
Melai: (Biglang kinilig)
Jason: (Listening to our conversation) Ngek! Ang kapal mo naman, Melai. Hindi magkakagusto sa iyo si Jericho, oy! Pangarap ka diyan!
Melai: Malay mo!
Kakatawa sila ano?
This conversation happened during my first breakfast with Jason and Melai. After this conversation, I got so intrigued on who Caramel was.
I was able to talk to Caramel and she was the one that provided me with all these Melason pics. Caramel is Audrey Meghan Gendrala in real life. She got hooked with Melai and Jason after watching them in Pinoy Big Brother when she got confined in the hospital with H1N1. After following their lives in PBB, she wanted to continue her daily habit by following them everywhere. I guess the reason why MelaSon clicks is that they know how to reciprocate the love the fans give to them.
Wow! I wanna be in PBB! I wanna have fans like Melai and Jason that will follow me in all the eight countries I have been to in three months. I want my fan who will follow me in all the eight countries to be a handsome male hunk, 22 years old with the face of Piolo Pascual, the body of Sam Milby, the brain of Chiz Ecsudero, the virility of Coco Martin, the humor of Eugene Domingo, with the English accent of Harry Potter. Boy Toy! Ahahahaha!
Ganito kadaming Pilipino ang nanuod ng show namin nung June 17,2010. An estimated number of 30,000. The next day, when the Melason duo performed, doble pa dumating, around 50,000 Filipinos. So an estimated 80,000 Filipinos flocked over to Hounslow U.K. during that weekend to see their favorite stars.
